Dear fellow Member,
As part of a Masters in Sports Science, I am writing a thesis that looks at the driving habits of amateur golfers. In order to complete this, I must run an experiment out of the Spawell driving range in Templeogue and would very much appreciate the participation of as many of my fellow Lisheen Springs members as possible. The experiment is open to adults only (male or female) and has very basic entry requirements: you must have an official GUI handicap, be free from injury or illness, and own or use a driver.
The experiment itself will be run on an individual basis and should not take more than 10-15 minutes of your time. For those that use the Spawell to practice it could easily fit into a regular practice session. To incentivise participation and engagement I am offering a few One4all vouchers for the best driving performances. Please note this is not a long drive competition so if you are not a big hitter don’t be discouraged, everyone will have the same opportunity to do well. I can confirm the setup in the Spawell has been adapted to make it as safe as possible, while the driving bays are quite large and will allow social distancing guidelines to be adhered to which I will be observing at all times.
I will, of course, share the results/findings of my study with any and all interested once it’s completed. Hopefully, it will be of use to any of us who struggle from time to time (or often!) with the long stick. Feel free to share this with anyone you think may be interested and meets the above criteria. If you would like to partake, learn more or have any questions on the study I can be reached on 0863112602 or firstname.lastname@example.org
